When you send an enquiry through the form on this website we collect your name, telephone number, email address, and any vehicle details or message you choose to include. We do not ask for, and you should not send, payment card details through this website.
Why we collect it
We use it only to reply to your enquiry, to prepare a quote, and to arrange work on your vehicle. The lawful basis is legitimate interest, specifically responding to someone who has asked us to get in touch. We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to a marketing list without asking you first.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are stored on our website hosting so we can refer back to them. We review them periodically and delete those we no longer need. If you would like your enquiry removed sooner, email us and we will delete it.
Cookies
This website sets one cookie, and only when the site owner logs in to the admin area. It keeps that login session active and is deleted when the browser is closed. There are no advertising or tracking cookies set by this site.
Third parties
Enquiry emails are delivered through our web host's mail service. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads. We do not share your enquiry with anyone else.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email help@smcdetailing.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are not happy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
