As the leading vehicle valeting service in the Redhill area, we have much to offer our customers across Surrey. Here is what you can expect from our bespoke vehicle valeting solutions.
Wash and rinse
We start our ceramic coating process as with all our finishing services, with a thorough washing of the vehicle’s exterior. This is the first stage of cleaning the car, removing various surface contaminants such as loose dirt, soot, and debris. In addition to cleaning the bodywork, we also wash and rinse the car’s wheels, arches, and engine bay.
Drying, decontamination, and dressing
After washing the car, we air dry it completely to get rid of any excess water. We then any embedded dirt and contaminants from the paintwork using a range of techniques. This includes both a chemical decontamination spray and manual decontamination using a clay bar. Then we protect your engine bay and arches, dressing them with a specially-formulated sealant.
Wheels, doors, windscreen, and windows
After surface cleaning the body of your vehicle, we pay attention to the rest of the car. This includes applying a protective hydrophobic coating to the car’s wheels, followed by wiping down all door shuts. The next step is to clean the windscreen and any other vehicle glass. We then apply a coating of Gtechniq’s G1 ClearVision Smart Glass sealant.
Deep polish of the paintwork
Before we can apply the protective ceramic coatings, we need to polish the paintwork to a deep and lustrous finish. We cover any non-polishable surfaces first, before getting to work with our specialised, multi-stage polishing machine. This eliminates and light scratches and swirls on the bodywork over the course of several passes.
Once we are satisfied with the level of polish and lustre, the next step is to apply the ceramic coatings. This includes wiping down and degreasing the panels to remove any compounds and polishes. We apply a 9H base layer ceramic coating to start, followed by a hydrophobic top coat. Both products come from either Gtechniq or Kamikaze Collection.
There’s little point in achieving such an impressive finish without paying similar attention to the inside of the car. At SMC Detailing, we finish all our ceramic coating services with a thorough interior valeting. This includes vacuuming and cleaning the upholstery, as well as wiping down surfaces. All this is topped off with a new air freshener.
