Wash and rinse

Your enhancement detail begins with a full wash down of your car’s exterior. This is to get rid of any loose dirt, soot, debris, and other surface contaminants. We don’t just handle the bodywork, but all areas of your vehicle, including the wheels, arches, and engine bay. This gives us a clean, blank canvas on which to work.

Decontamination and dressing

We apply two decontamination techniques to remove any dirt or other contaminants embedded in your paintwork. We start with a chemical decontamination spray to loosen the dirt, followed by manual decontamination with a clay bar. This manual decontamination successfully removes any unwanted particles. We then protect your arches and engine bay, by dressing them with a specially-formulated sealant.

Wheels, doors, windscreen, and windows

Enhancement detail isn’t just concerned with the bodywork – we get the rest of your car looking in great shape, too. We apply a hydrophobic coating to your wheels to repel water and dirt, followed by wiping down all door shuts. We clean your windscreen and all other vehicle glass, before applying G1 ClearVision Smart Glass sealant from Gtechniq.

Deep polish of the paintwork

Now we come to the heart of our enhancement detail process – the polishing. First we cover all non-polishable area and rims with masking tape as a precaution. Then, we use a specialist, multi-stage polishing machine to rid your paintwork of swirls and light scratches. We perform several passes with this machine until we get your bodywork looking just right.

Paintwork protection

After polishing your paintwork, we carry out an inspection of the exterior. Once we are satisfied that your paintwork is scratch and swirl free, with a suitably deep finish, we apply protection. Once again, we use a Gtechniq product – namely, two coats of their C2v2 Liquid Crystal. This coating ensures between six and eight months protection for your paintwork.

Finishing touches

With the outside of your vehicle cleaned and detailed to our usual high standards, it’s time to handle the inside. Our enhancement detail service includes an interior valet of your vehicle. We vacuum and clean all your upholstery and wipe down all the surfaces. We finish things off with a new air freshener for that unmistakable ‘new car’ smell.
